I write under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act to request the number of reported incidents involving a citizens arrests (Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, Section 24A) between 2019 and June 2025 As part of this request, I would like the information to be broken down into the following; i) The number of reported incidents involving a citizen's arrests, broken down into years (e.g. 2019, 2020, 2021 etc) ii) The number of reported incidents involving citizens arrests broken down by arrest types (shoplifting, assault, etc) for each year between 2019 and 2025 iii) The number of reported incidents involving citizens arrests carried out by individuals with a Security Industry Authority license, for each year between 2019 and 2025 iv) The number of reported incidents involving citizen arrests that have resulted in the arrested individual being formally charged with a crime for each year between 2019 and 2025. v) Additionally, I'd like to know how citizen arrests are tracked in official statistics by the City of London police, including which forms are used to log them. Please present the information in Excel format.
