Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I am requesting the following information covering the period from July 2021 to the most recent full calendar year available: The number of recorded homophobic hate crimes (i.e. those motivated by sexual orientation), broken down by: - Year - Offence type (e.g. harassment, assault, criminal damage) The investigative outcomes for these offences for each year (e.g. charge, caution, no further action). The number of non-crime hate incidents (NCHIs) recorded in the same period where the motivation was related to sexual orientation. Any anonymised internal reports, summaries, or strategic documents produced since July 2021 that relate to homophobic hate crime trends, community safety, or policing response. A copy of your current operational hate crime policy or guidance, specifically covering how homophobic hate crimes and NCHIs are defined, recorded, and investigated.

Definition For the purposes of this request, a “hit and run” refers to a “fail to stop collision” or a “fail to stop RTC (Road Traffic Collision)”, where a driver involved in a collision does not remain at the scene as required by law. Please provide the following data for each calendar year from 2019 to 2025 (inclusive): 1. The total number of recorded road traffic collisions identified as “fail to stop collisions” or “fail to stop RTCs”. 2. I write under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act to request the number of reported incidents involving a citizens arrests (Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, Section 24A) between 2019 and June 2025 As part of this request, I would like the information to be broken down into the following; i) The number of reported incidents involving a citizen's arrests, broken down into years (e.g. 2019, 2020, 2021 etc) ii) The number of reported incidents involving citizens arrests broken down by arrest types (shoplifting, assault, etc) for each year between 2019 and 2025 iii) The number of reported incidents involving citizens arrests carried out by individuals with a Security Industry Authority license, for each year between 2019 and 2025 iv) The number of reported incidents involving citizen arrests that have resulted in the arrested individual being formally charged with a crime for each year between 2019 and 2025. v) Additionally, I'd like to know how citizen arrests are tracked in official statistics by the City of London police, including which forms are used to log them. I understand that some categories may not be recorded or complete breakdowns may not be available. If this is the case, please specify what is available and advise on recommended routes for missing data (e.g., MoJ, NCA, CPS).
