The primary focus of this request is to gather information on the scale of offences where criminals threaten a school that they will release AI generated/manipulated sexual images of multiple pupils unless payment is reached. To assist your estimation of workload, my understanding is that these offenses are likely to be rare - a similar FOI to a large force yielded a response identifying less than ten relevant crimes. Under the FOIA could you please: a)Provide the numbers of recorded crime between 1 Jan 2024 to 2 Sep 2026 for the offences of blackmail and/ or Sexual Offences Act 2003 - sharing or threatening to share intimate photograph or film, where the recorded location is an educational premises and where the offences described above were in relation to a threat to publish/distribute AI generated/manipulated sexual images (deepfakes) of multiple pupils unless a payment was made. b)For each offence in (a), please state the date the crime was recorded, the type of school (or other type of educational institution) it was that suffered the threat ie; primary / secondary etc. I do not expect you to search the internet to see what type of school they are, if the type of school or institution is not recorded please just identify as "educational premises". c)Supply the outcome of any investigation e.g "Investigation Complete: No suspect identified." In displaying the answers please group the crimes by each institution. You may assign a letter to the institution to make it clear where crimes relate to the same institution and to differentiate it from others of the same type if that is helpful For example, you might tabulate the data as below: School (A), 7/7/24, Blackmail, Complete: No suspect identified, School (A), 7/7/24, SOA 2003, Complete: No suspect identified School (B), 9/5/24, SOA 2003, Ongoing. Educational premise (A), 4/5/24, Blackmail, Ongoing
