Request
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please provide: 1) Copies of your current policies, procedures, checklists and officer guidance specifying the records which officers or police staff must complete, update or submit following a use of force. 2) Any existing list or process map identifying these records and the systems in which they are held. Please include, where applicable: - Use-of-force reporting forms; - Pocket-notebook or electronic-notebook entries; - Evidential statements; - Incident or crime-record updates; - Custody-record entries; - Injury or accident reports; - Safeguarding referrals; - Additional reports relating to Taser, firearms or other equipment. 3) Recorded instructions specifying when these requirements apply, who must complete each record, completion deadlines, and whether each record is required per officer, per subject, per location or per incident. Please include any existing guidance or worked examples illustrating the records required following compliant handcuffing, physical restraint, irritant-spray use and Taser use. I am not asking you to create new worked examples. I seek reporting requirements and blank guidance documents, rather than records of identifiable incidents. Yours faithfully, Karl Williams
